When Ali Edwards invited us to join her in Day In The Life documentary, my first thought was to pass because I didn't have the time. I'm in an office the majority of the day and let's face it, it's not very exciting. However, let me tell you about the monstrous black crows that appeared on our balcony today - they looked like huge, black chickens. Gross.
Then I thought, "well, if I don't have time to do a day in the life, what about an hour of something I do that's really cool?!" You've met my super amazing contortion teacher, David Garcia, here. Every week, he tortures and contorts my body into these freakish, unnatural postures. Basically, he stretches me out and conditions my body to become super bendy.
I love it because I'm not a flexible person. Not naturally, at least. These positions that I'm able to get into, I work hard at it. When I'm having a particularly rough day, I love coming to class and having the physical, stretchy pain block my senses. I don't think about what's troubling me. I flow through. Obviously, because I'm lashing out in agony and expletives :)
This pretty much sums up how I feel after each session.
After coming home and uploading my pictures, I was feeling confident in trying out Ali's propsal tomorrow later today. Let's see how far I can get. Wish me luck!
This looks awesome!! I need something like this, I'm SOOO un-flexible, I can hardly even touch my toes... baha! It's actually quite sad! I love this.
